Cheesy Kale Chips

Cheesy Kale Chips
INGREDIENTS:
1-2 bunches of organic kale
2-3 tbsps hemp oil
1 tsp celtic sea salt
1 tsp tumeric
1 cup nutritional yeast
1 tbsp dried onion flakes
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp parsley
1 tbsp oregano
Making the Cheesy Kale Chips

  • Clean, de-stem (optional), chop your kale.
  • Massage 2-3 tablespoons of hemp oil (as needed) into your kale. Do this until every single ounce of each and every piece is covered in oil. You will know because each piece would be shiny.
  • Take your dry ingredients and throw them all into your dry blender...and blend. You want to do this to make them all into a fine powdery substance.

  • Take the cheesy powder and sprinkle all over the kale chips...and massage in, adding more as needed. I typically add as much until its a little dry on top. This way, I know I have the cheesy, salty taste needed for an actual "chip" flavor.
  • Put them on the dehydrator in a spacious manner...and dehydrate for 4 to 6 hours on 115 degrees.

TIP: You don't want to pile these on. You want to space these out so that it will allow a quick drying time, but also so that it could dry thoroughly. You'll know when they are ready when you pick one up and it feels like a chip. All moisture should be gone. When you bite into it, it should be a crispy, flaky feel and the cheesy taste should dance in your mouth.
