Psyllium/Bentonite Elixir |
How to make the Psyllium/Bentonite Elixir:
- 1 tsp of "Great Plains Bentonite Detox"
- 1 tsp of "Psyllium Husks Powder"
- 1 cup of water.
- Make sure its blended well.
This elixir provides fiber while also gently removing toxins from your body. It gently removes and cleanses mucus forming toxic
waste from the colon. I drink this elixir about once a month; However,
during this 60 Day Juice/Smoothie Challenge, I will drink this every
night before bed, for at least the first 30 days.
TIPS:
(1) MAKE SURE YOU DRINK IT FAST! This is NOT a tasty elixir, and it's probably the most bland
drink you'll ever have in your life. But the benefits of this elixir is
so amazing.
(2) Make certain this is the last thing you put into your body at night. This is why I drink it right before bed. If you get thirsty or hungry, feel free to drink water only.

Detailed Nutritional
Value
Psyllium Husks: Psyllium husks benefits digestion by keeping the colon contents moist,
malleable, and in this way reduces cramps, pain, and bowel irregularity
in irritable bowel syndrome. It is also helpful in managing chronic
constipation, hemorrhoids and anal fissures by leading to soft but
formed stool that is easily passed and reduces the need to strain. In
cases of watery diarrhea the psyllium husk benefits by absorbing water
and giving more texture to the stool which makes control of the bowels
easier. Psyllium also has the additional advantages over other sources of
fiber of reducing flatulence and bloating.
Bentonite: Bentonite clay has strong internal cleansing properties. It has helped people who were struck with symptoms of constipation, like bloating and gas. It has brought relief of symptoms from some diseases as serious as Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Some possible additional benefits with taking Bentonite clay are:
- After radiation treatment, it can remove heavy metals and chemicals
- Healthful bacterial balance in the digestive system is promoted
- Liver detoxification
- Cleanses colon of toxins
- Boosts immune system
It's adsorptive and absorptive properties occurring naturally in the clay. Absorptive abilities lie in the fact that its molecules are
negatively charges. So as it passes through the intestinal tract it
attracts the toxins which are positively charged. When they are in
contact with each other, they swap ions and are bound together and the
toxic molecule is absorbed by the clay molecule. The toxin molecules that bonded
with the clay molecules are internalized in the clay molecule. In this
state, your body can expel the toxin-filled clay in normal bowel
movements. How cool is that? You have your easy breasy "poor mans" colonic with
this. (However, this doesn't mean to not get your colon checked or
colonics regularly).
A Cautionary Word About Bentonite Clay
- This is a powerful and effective substance. However, there are times when it should not be taken.
- Aged people and pregnant women shouldn't taken Bentonite Clay or products containing Bentonite Clay.
- Should not be taken if you took medication or supplements less than two hours prior. Which is another reason why it should be the last thing you take before bed and should not be mixed with anything other than the psyllium husks and water.
There are no known side effects related to ingesting pure organic
Bentonite clay in the suggested doses. However, there has not been a
longitudinal study on the effects from humans. It's best to consult a
healthcare professional before you use this substance.
